Code of Conduct Essay

Choose the qualities that are most important to you - the ones you would like to uphold in all your actions. This will be the subject of your essay.

Introduction:

In the first paragraph tell why it might be important to have certain qualities that you value. This will serve as your attention-getter.

At the end of the paragraph, specifically state the qualities that are most important to you. This will serve as your thesis for the essay.

Body Paragraphs:

Arrange the body paragraphs in order of least to most important. The least important of the qualities would be the subject of the first body paragraph and the most important quality would be the subject of the last body paragraph.

Begin each body paragraph with a topic sentence that names the quality and its importance.

Include in each body paragraph at least two reasons for wanting to uphold this quality. Tell why the quality is important to you.

End each body paragraph with a sentence leading into the next paragraph (bridge the paragraphs).

Conclusion:

The last paragraph should be a summary of the important qualities.

In this paragraph you should also mention the importance of knowing these values as indicated by your introduction. This brings the paper full-circle.

Word Count:

The paper must be a minimum of 300 words.
