Animal Acrostic Poem

Your assignment is to write an animal acrostic poem that uses imagery.  We have reviewed imagery in class and we have read several poems that use imagery.

An acrostic uses each letter in a word to start a line of the acrostic.  For example:

Dark chocolate fur covers your round, aging body

Opened gray eyes beg for attention

Gazing up to your overworked, fatigued owners wanting to play

You may choose any animal you wish.  Each line should incorporate one example of imagery.

Grammar note:  Punctuation and complete sentences are not always used or required in poetry.  However, correct spelling is always a necessity.
