SUMMARY CHAPTERS

Because the book is so long, I have decided to cut some of the chapters and give you summaries of those chapters instead of reading them. You are not required to know any of the specific information from the summary chapters, but I am supplying summaries to that we can maintain continuity of the themes throughout the book.

You do not have to refer to the summary chapters to answer your essay questions, but if there is something in the summaries that you would like to use to help answer your essay questions then that is acceptable.

The following chapters will be presented as summaries:
