Romeo and Juliet

 

1.Neat and creative cover – 10 points

You can print pictures to put on your covers or you can draw a cover. The cover it should be neat. Don’t clutter it.

 

2.Table of contents – 5 points - TYPED

A table of contents lists what page I can find the information that you put into your book. For example:

 

            Favorite Scene                                                 Page 3

Ending                                                  Page 4

 

3.Pick a favorite scene; explain what happens and why you like it – 15 points - TYPED

This can be any one scene in the play. One paragraph (minimum length of 7 sentences) will tell what happens in the scene and then the next paragraph (minimum length of 7 sentences) will tell why you like it.

    

4.Rewrite the ending of Romeo and Juliet; have it end the way you think it should have

– 15 points - TYPED

You can do this in play form or you can write it in paragraph form. Tell what you think should have happened. If you like the current ending that’s okay, just make up an alternate ending. Minimum length is one page.

 

5.Do you believe that Romeo and Juliet won or lost? Why? – 5 points - TYPED

In one paragraph (minimum length of 5 sentences) tell whether or not they are winners or losers. This is your opinion, but you need to give support for your belief.

 

6.   Compile a list of ten favorite quotations from the entire play. Indicate the location of each quotation. Following that, in at least two sentences explain why the quotation is important. Consider: Does it characterize? Does it indicate a complication? Is a theme implied? Does it set up a certain important encounter between characters? I am not asking for a summary of the quote. Remember, you are looking at the importance of the quote.   – 50 points - TYPED

 

7. Create a scrapbook page for Romeo. Include a short description for each item included. What type of items might he have saved as a reminder of important times in his life? Mnimum of 5 items. – 15 points

 

8.  Create a scrapbook page for Juliet. Include a short description for each item included. What type of items might she have saved as a reminder of important times in her life? Miniumum of 5 items. – 15 points
